Happy Birthday to Prince - he would have been 62 today - sadly passed away on 21 April 2016. A multi-talented singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, dancer, actor and film-maker. A guitar virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist known for his eclectic genre crossing, flamboyant persona and his far reaching falsetto. Prince was regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation. His innovative music integrated a wide variety of styles including funk, R&B, rock, new wave, soul, psychedelia and pop. His sixth album, Purple Rain, which was also the soundtrack of his hugely successful film acting debut of the same name. It quickly became his most commercially successful record. Amongst a wide variety of awards, Rolling Stones Magazine placed him amongst its list of both the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.
